Many homeless youth stay in cars, motels, or rely on friends for temporary housing—a reality shaped by family conflict, poverty, or unsafe environments. These struggles are often less visible in rural areas but equally urgent. The McKinney-Vento Act provides students experiencing homelessness with educational protections, like transportation and uninterrupted enrollment, but does not address the fundamental issue of housing. Our programming fills this gap, ensuring that young people across Montana, including its rural communities, can find stability and pursue their education in a safe and supportive environment.
